I can’t but help comment on ending theme of durara ‘Trust me’ by Yuya Matsushita and the opening “Uragiri no Yūyake” ( “Sunset of Betrayal”) by Theatre Brook. Both are unique and gives out the right street city feel that is needed for the anime series. Also the animation done is creative! ( Talking from my animator point of view) Like how they link and jump from one person to other and introduce them in the opening theme and how each one holds onto other on the ending theme……nice….don’t you agree??

English
The treacherous sunset wipes away those annoying sweat drops.
The city roars as if it’s singing a song.
ROAR OUT LOUDER!
The quiet fairy is within your sights.
ROAR OUT LOUDER!
To atone you must gather the shards of a broken love.
The sun rises above the horizon, yeah!
You can see it in the gap between the buildings!
As long as you believe in it now,
Tomorrow won’t be completely useless.
The sun rises above the horizon, yeah!
Piercing through the darkness!
As long as you take the chance to feel it,
You’ll see your meaningful dream come true.
There’s surely something only we can see.
Something worthwhile nobody can take from us.
The sun rises above the horizon, yeah!
It’s the line that separates the earth and sky!
As long as you believe in it now,
Things will be as meaningful as that light.

English
Trust me, trust me, trust me, trust me…
I really wanna be with you. (Gonna shine on you, yeah…)
Trust me, trust me, trust me, trust me… (Yeah…)
I’m here; I’m right next to you,
Call me, I’m here.
Trust me, there’s nothing to be afraid of.
My dear, we’re connected by,
Trust me, an invisible thread,
So feel my warmth by your side.
I can hear your heart’s voice,
This love will always stay true.
Don’t hesitate to cry and rely on me,
I decided long ago to accept all your burdens.
I’m here, wherever you are,
Call me, we’ll be together.
Trust me, these feelings for you will never change.
My dear, just put down,
Trust me, those things you’re carrying.
I exist for your sake.
I’m here; I’m right next to you,
Call me, I’m here.
Trust me, there’s nothing to be afraid of.
My dear, we’re connected by,
Trust me, an invisible thread,
So feel my warmth by your side.
Okay okay, people have been slapping me hard for the english translation of Seikon No Qwaser Ending song – Passionate Squall by Ayumi Fujimura, Aki Toyosaki, Minori Chihara, Aya Hirano and Yoko Hikasa.
So after listening hard to that crazy song and rummaging otherwise, I summed up the words and weird translation for it. Here is the romaji lyrics followed by the english subtitles for that song:-
Romaji (Not jumanji!):
Hateru mae ni kimi yo kagayaite
Do live again, (alive), Again, (alive), And all
Ubawarete mo tsukinai jounetsu ga
Sawagu o (good night) daku (behind) oh slow….
Sora ga zawameite
Tsukeru taiyo no ochiru kage ni
Hito wa torawareta tsuyoi kyoufu kara itsuru facelessness
Yoake o machi nozomu
Hitotsu ni naritai yo!
Mitsume aeba kimi to samayotte
Get back my love (again) my lost (again) so full
Toki no kagiri kogare tsuzukeru
Kawaita (good night) mune (I do) oh slow….
English translation:
Before it all ends out, you will shine ablaze
Do live again, (alive), Again, (alive), And all….
Even when we’re stripped and stolen, this zeal is inexhaustible
Make noise (good night), Embrace (behind), on squall….
The sky got stirred and rustled
Putting on the dropping shadow of the sun,
We are seized by a strong fear because of being lost in facelessness.
All for the dawn we anxiously look for,
I want to unite as one with you!
If I meet up with you, With you I’ll wander about.
Get back my love (again), My lost (again), so full.
As far as time could go, I’ll keep yearning for you,
With my dried-up (good night) will( I do) on squall…
PS: You have all rights to correct me if I am wrong but plz be gentle >.>
Also, when english spoken with japanese accent in a distorted song background is hard to hear and interpret and sometimes they dont make sense (I think I could use this as an excuse =D )
I am not a BORN- japanese, so I if I have made errors, hontoni gomen! (really sorry!)
Ahem, and also I tried to come with alternate words for some japanese words which were extreme
¬_¬
Not saying what it is….
And wondering why I didn’t put up the real video of Seikon no Qwaser Ending?? I realized many of my readers are underaged and wanted to spare them some eye-blinding and nosebleeding shots lol
So my senpai made this vid on my request ^.^
so yeah that’s it I guess.
